Talk With the Pastor

I talked to the pastor after service last night. I told him that I wanted to go to Caffco University in Dorinda after I graduate in June. Pastor asked why. I said that Caffco has an excellent business school.

Why I Am In Fontaine

I came to Fontaine from my home town of Hearne to go to school here. At the time, my uncle was living in Fontaine. Well, 8 months after I got here, my uncle decided to move back to Hearne and leave me down here by myself. My uncle was living in a rent controlled apartment and the rent wasn’t all that high, but I didn’t have any money, nor did I have a job. I didn’t know how I was going to make it. I didn’t want to go back to Hearne, either.

I talked to pastor and he helped me get a job that would work with my school schedule. So, I would have some money. The deacon staff helped me get an apartment that had a low rent. It’s in a pretty decent part of town, too. The rent is based on your income. One of the deacons sold me his old car, which breaks down at least once a week, but the deacons always fix it for me.

My mother wanted me to come home, but after she came down here and saw that I had a church family that had my back, she was cool with me staying down here.

Caffco University

Pastor asked me had I tried to get into Caffco yet. I told him no. He told me to fill out an application and go from there. He seems cool with the idea of me going to Dorinda. He isn’t worried because we have a lot of Greater Buelahland Fellowship Churches in the city. He said that he and the church will help me in any way they can.

Praise the Lord. My prayer is being answered. I believe God.
