Some Turtles
Amanda brought me some turtles last week. I can’t believe that she did that. I know I told her that I like turtles when she was tutoring me.She gave them to me while I was at my car, so no one saw her give them to me. I thanked her for the candy and told her that I wasn’t interested in a relationship with her. She smiled at me and said, “I don’t want a relationship with you either, I was just being nice. You ain’t all that.” She walked off in a huff. I don’t know what to think now.
Needless to say, I felt like an idiot.
Amanda brought a guy to church with her on Sunday. I overheard one of the ladies from the church say, “That ain’t her baby’s father.” I just shook my head. She made it a point to introduce him to me after service. I forgot his name.
I still haven’t eaten one of those turtles, yet.
